CMG Review

Artist: G-13 • Title: Still Dancin’ • Label: G Records Web: G-13.org reviewed by Bill Wright

Finally after being together for Ten years, Ocean City’s G-13 brings us its debut album, "Still Dancin". Although the band is best known for its highly jam oriented live performances, "Still Dancin’ shows that the members of G-13 are also very talented songwriters. Still Dancin’ features nine guitar driven songs that will make you want to listen to this CD over and over again. With rockers like "Uncle Buffalo Sidewinder" and "Stars" to the country sounding "Sussex County Blues" to the psychedelic sounds of "Happy Daze", "Still Dancin"’ is a must have for anyone who appreciates a good jam band. The CD was produced by Bob Weir & Ratdog guitarist Mark Karan. Karan also plays on the CD along with The Dead’s Jeff Chimenti on keys and Barry Sless from the David Nelson Band and Phil Lesh & Friends on pedal steel. So just by having these heavy hitters involved should tell you that G-13 is no joke. These guys are the real deal. Great musicians. Great songs. Great band.
